What to Expect During Your Session
As a photographer, my goal is to capture as many lifetime family events as possible. The more prepared and relaxed you are, the better your photos will turn out. It's my job to capture you and keep you in a comfortable position and help ease any worries you may have about your session . Let's go over some of the most common questions I've had with my past clients before and during a photography session to me.

1. “My family is not comfortable in front of the camera." - I know that staring into the camera and being forced to smile can feel very awkward. This is why I want you to engage with your spouse, family, friends, family and not always look directly at the camera. Sometimes I may capture a shot that you never knew I took and absolutely thank me later for it. Sometimes photography isn't always about staring directly into the camera.

2. "I have absolutely no idea what to wear for our photos." - As a photographer, I am going to tell you that your outfits play an extremely important role on the way your final images turn out. The keys to great turnouts are colors, texture and movement. I will give you some tips on having a “family look". My number one suggestion for the women is to wear a long flowing skirt or even khakis with pale colored shirts. Try having your whole family wear the same colors. With men I suggested a pale color shirt with Khakis and boat shoes. DO NOT WEAR WHITE WITH Khakis. Blue and Light Purple often work best with these. Different color shirts ruin family portraits and try to make sure the colors match.

3. "I'm worried my children won't cooperate with you." - I've photographed many kids over the past years and I can tell you that there are very few that will perfectly still for the "perfect" photo. With families, I love to create things around the interest of the child. I will encourage families to run, play, tickle, and laugh, during our time together. Also, take a few breaks in between because, once a child is focused on something their mind is there until distracted by something else. Photographing children is by far one of my hardest but, I absolutely love it. . My goal is to give you images that reflect around the family as a whole.
